My podcast HUMO is nominated for a Signal Award!
Please vote and show love for this show uncovering murder, silence, and corruption in Bukele’s El Salvador
Hola, mi gente. We have less than a week to vote for my podcast, HUMO: Murder and Silence in El Salvador, which has been nominated in the Best Documentary category! This show was the result of years of hard work by Salvadoran journalist Brian Avelar and the Revista Factum newsroom in El Salvador. I joined to create the English-language version, bringing a U.S. diaspora voice to the story — and even sharing pieces of my own family’s journey.
If you haven’t tuned in yet, you can catch it on Spotify, Apple Music, and more.
If you’ve already listened and want more, check out these recent interviews and talks I’ve done:
Future Hindsight Podcast: I chatted with Mila Atmos about U.S. influence in El Salvador: “Stop funding anything related to the military in Central America.”
Escuela Política (Español): “Salvi Politics y la subjetividad de la diáspora,” where I explain in Spanish—and, yes, kindly critique—how the diaspora struggles to counter Bukele’s propaganda.
Thank you all for the love! Stay tuned—new projects are on the way.
Con amor,
Daniel
